July 05, 2006 Callinan Expands Coles Creek Holdings
VANCOUVER - Callinan Mines has acquired by staking, an additional 6,399 hectares of mineral tenures surrounding the main 3km target area at Coles Creek near Houston, BC. This brings the total land package to 7,609 hectares.
The additional ground covers to two intrusive plugs, which have been located by satellite imaging. The company plans to do geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys on these features, followed by diamond drilling as part of this summer's exploration program. In addition to covering these intrusive plugs, the new tenures will provide protection to the existing exploration area.
The Coles Creek exploration program is currently underway. Line cutting has been completed and induced polarization geophysical survey work has commenced. The program, which includes an initial 4,000 meters of diamond drilling, is being conducted under the supervision of Pat DeVeaux, a qualified person as defined by national instrument 43-101.
