Coles Creek Samples Continue To Reveal Potential

VANCOUVER - Callinan Mines has received final results from assays carried out on samples collected by prospectors as part of the 2008 field program at Coles Creek. Silver assays previously reported as > 300 g/mt ( > 9 oz/t) have been confirmed to contain values of up to 1734 g/mt (50.6 oz/t). The company is encouraged by these results and plans to conduct a detailed mapping and prospecting program, as well as an induced polarization survey this coming summer to locate and detail areas of this newly discovered mineralization.

All of the surface samples were collected and bagged in the field. The GPS location of each sample was logged at the time of collection by the collecting prospector before being returned to the Coles Creek camp for inspection by the site geologist. The above samples were then sent to Acme Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, where they were crushed, processed and underwent a multi-element assay by ICP-ES Aqua Regia Digest. Samples that were anomalous and above the detection levels of the previous analytical process were then sent for re-assay. The re-assay is warranted for representative well-mineralized samples and uses the Group 7AR Multi-Element Assay procedure. The process of analysis includes a company approved QA/QC protocol, including a pulp duplicate to monitor analytical precision and a reagent blank to measure background levels.

The Coles Creek Program is being conducted under the supervision of P.J. DeVeaux, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 who has reviewed and approved the contents of this news announcement.
